Agency for Sustainable Development Pakistan (ASDP) is a non-profit civil society organization that has been working to provide vulnerability protection to the most marginalized sections of society since 1993. It has vast experience of work with the urban and rural communities spread across district Faisalabad. ASDP commenced its partnership with people living in city slums and with trade unions and also engaged media and like- minded civil society organizations to provide vulnerability protection to the impoverished communities. However, during the last decade it expanded its outreach to the farming communities of Pakistan. The organization has chosen four thematic areas for its interventions which include: governance and democracy, sustainable livelihood, capacity development and women rights. ASDP believes in partnership and offers its services to peasants, workers, women and minorities of Pakistan.
Vision:
ASDP envisages socio-economic and political transformation of the marginalized sections of society through peoples’ participation in all issues and processes concerning their lives. The organization strives for the creation of a society based on the principles of equality, peaceful coexistence, democracy, good governance and justice so that everyone has equal opportunities to realize his or her full human potential.
